I never saw this movie aside from the bits and pieces that have flashed before my eyes as I changed channels on TV. It's too girly and too high schoolish for me.

I was forced into watching a 'chick flick' by an enthusiastic female friend of mine, and as I had no knowledge or experience of them (other than a painful two hours in school where we were made to watch "Ten Things I Hate About You" then make our own short performances based on it), she chose, and chose this one. To my horror/shame/heterosexual end, I actually quite enjoyed it, and although it was [obviously] as cheesy as you're going to get, I found some of the clique [Lindsay Lohan insisted on pronouncing it "click", much to my disdain] stereotypes (I was certainly able to relate to the "Asian nerds") quite funny. This was an unusual film, as it was from the 'clichéd ill-spirited cheerleader from girls' teenage fiction's' point of view, rather than the chubby poindexter or the misfit of some shape or form (although, of course, they were aplenty in this film), but all the same it was tongue-in-cheek and enjoyable.

I did enjoy this movie for the most part,the sad   thing is Tina Fey knew exactly what she was talking about when she wrote the  script for this one. Most all teens and even older can relate to the 'queen bee' syndrome. the ending had to be packaged to have a good resolution though in real life mean girls usually allgrow up to marry mean boys and have mean bratty children.

Better than most teen movies. It was nice that the movie made "thoughts" come alive. It also showed things that are happening in reality. It also had a bit of humor too.

This is not your average teen flick -- it's absolutely hilarious thanks to SNL head writer Tina Fey's brand of humor. The girls also deliver their lines quite well. A great exaggeration of high school life among girls.

I was expecting this movie to be just a 90 min max. chick flick that leaves you unsatisfied..but it wasn't. It was funny, sad, and had a good moral to it. It shows you what high school and cliques can really do to people.

one of the better teenage movies. usually I avoid teen type movies since they are aimed at teens on down only.this one is nice for adults to watch too. Lindsay Lohan did a nice job as the 16 year old girl who had been home schooled in Africa and was enduring her first year in a high school. She quickly learns of all the cliques there are amongst the girls.She experiences how "mean" girls can be to each other with all the gossip, excluding others and how they can manipulate each other. she goes from nice girl to temporary not so nice girl, learns a few lessons and goes back to nice girl. my teenage daughter and i saw this and liked it. Brings back memories of high school and really school is not so different now then when it was 25 plus years ago.
