My JVC HAFX33 Marshmallow Headphone
Strengths: Excellent Bass, Inexpensive, Soft, Light & Comfortable.
Weakness: Low Treble
Wow!! that was my first impression when i put 'em on. Bass-lovers you are just gonna Love it. These are Soft & fit very comfortably in my ears. Unlike others that i used in the past these dont fall off my ears even while Running and playing.
My only gripe, wish they had a little more Treble to balance off the High Bass. Bottom line they sound GREAT.
Overall I am a satisfied user. YooHOOoo!

TopLIVE CONCERT HEADPHONES!
Strengths: BASS! CRYSTAL CLEAR! LOUD! PRACTICALLY NOISE CANCELING! CHEAP!
Weakness: um... kinda ugly shape but its needed for the ultimate music experience these babys bring.
i found an old set of these on my old middle school parking lot. i picked them up and tried them and instantly said "WOW! these are efin AMAZING! im actually hearing my songs live"
my recomendation...

TopGood fit, Decent Sound

Weakness: * Sound quality * Tapping cord = Interference
I bought these to replace the cheap, hard plastic ear buds that came with a portable DVD player became painful after a full 90 minute movie. I guess for around $25, I was expecting more out of the sound quality (a bit tinny), but the comfort and ambient noise reduction more than makes up for the absence of bass. Just be sure to secure the cord, as the slightest tap interferes with the audio. This is a minor annoyance for when I'm on the go, but I've become used to it.

TopJVC FX33
Strengths: Good, comfortable in ear fit
Weakness: Poor sound quality
I bought these earphones because my Koss SparkPlugs are starting to wear out and these looked like a suitable replacement. While they do have a great, comfortable fit and a solid seal, they sound quality is very poor. There is little to no bass response and the highs and mids sound very hollow. I have to have the volume up about 5 notches higher on my iPod to even come close to matching the volume of the Koss SparkPlugs. I am not by any means an audiophile and I would still not recommend these earphones.

Strengths: You bearly can hear outside noises
Weakness: It keeps slipping out of me ear. The bass is too lad. It can get very loud and it doesnt look that nice :/
I bought this for 18 Dollars, i thought it was good because it cost a lot and what it said on the outside but when i got it it was ok i prefer my old ones

I got these at walmart thinkin they'd be good cuz they were 20 bucks but when I used them they had no bass an the sound quality wasn't even all that great. It's usable an you'll prob get used to it. I had to set the sound eq on my iPod to bass booster jus to stand these headphones. And the ear pieces are a let down also cuz they come in one size an they don't stay in ear as good as others do. Overall I wasn't the least bit impressed, I've had better ones that were only ten bucks.

I bought these ones to replace ipod (classic 80gb) crap-headphones, mmmmmmmm not a good choice, bass is almost inexistent no matter what EQ option I select, in the other hand... I like color options, the foam ear pieces... but I'm afraid that´s all =(

these headphones are the best headphones i have ever used and the sound is the best for the incredible price of 10.if you need a cheap replacement for the useless headphones the ipods come with this is the beast choice you can make.
i would recommend these headphones to anyone. buy ASAP!

Strengths: sound quality, bass response, very good midrange, good price.
Weakness: when listening to a lower powered device (my old m250,or an ipod nano) heavier bass will wash out the highs. On my old hi-fi cd boombox it doesn't seem to happen they just like a little bit of power.
well first off other than a really old set of koss over the ear headphones these are my favorite by far. I will say they don't sound that good with an Ipod, but it is my opinion that ipod sound quality is crud anyway. I use these right now with my samsung a737 and i love it.
My last pair of inexpensive earphones were a set of gummi (cant remember the brand just the name) they completely fail to compare.

Strengths: Sound Quality (relative to price); comfort.
Weakness: A bit difficult to get seated properly.
When I first got these I put them in and they sounded like what I had expected out of less than $20 earbuds. Tinny with little bass response. I took them back out of my ears and reseated them and WOW!!! What a difference. These buds have great sound quality in my opinion and I don't mind if I trash them while working out. Great sound isolation (after you learn how to insert them) and sound.
Best value bud I have found by far.

Strengths: Strong bass, all over sound
Weakness: Earpieces too big for some people, expensive, hard to find replacement earpieces.
I bought these on sale for 9.99 from Circuit City. I don't think I'd pay full price for them. It came with large earpieces and medium size, both of which are too big for me. The medium ones just fit, but even the "soft" material hurts a little, since they are too big. I am having trouble finding replacement pieces. Good earphones for the $10 price range, when on sale. The last ear buds I bought for $9 were crap.

Strengths: Bass,noise isolation,VERY comfortable.
Weakness: Looks a little cheaply made
For the price you can't go wrong. As many have said these can be found for $10 at Circuit City but sound like they are worth much more. To me they look and feel cheaply made BUT they sound excellent and are so comfortable to use! An extra set of ear buds are included but they are for those that need a smaller size. For those that say too much bass, on whatever you are using it just turn off the "mega bass" and it should sound clearer. The sound isolation works pretty good after you put them on correctly (squish them in your ears :).
Can't complain, if you need some inexpensive earphones and catch this sale ($10) you won't be disappointed!

Strengths: Low price, good sound, good noise isolation, comfortable, strong bass.
Weakness: None
The JVC Marshmallow headphones can occasionally be obtained for $10, which is an amazing value. Don't be turned away by the brand, because these things are comparable to more expensive earphones.
They have what appears to be a nice gold-plated 3.5 mm jack, and the "marshmallow" foam earpieces are like foam earplugs. They are comfortable and keep the noise out. These things won't even appear to be in your ears. The earphones also come with an extra pair of earpieces.
The sound is not perfect, but it isn't too far off from Sony's low-range products. There are modifications that can be performed if you wish to increase the mid range and high range tones.
Considering the competition, these earphones are much cheaper in cost but comparable in quality.

The fit seemed odd the first few times i wore it, but once i got used to it, they are very comfortable. Sound quality is amazing and it keeps out most of the outside noise.

Weakness: Average Sound quality, The ear buds slip out easily
I bought this from circuity city for around 10 dollars and it has quite good sound quality for this price, however if you want bass, this isn't going to do it. Been using it for over to months now and I quality is still good. if you want decent headphones at a good price, this would be it.

Strengths: good bass, provide overall a good sound experience, inexpensive.
Weakness: It can be a pain in the neck to properly place the earphones in the ears(as described below in the comment section) to get good sound and better noise blockage.
A tip for properly inserting the earphone into the ears: Squeeze the marshmallow before inserting into ears. Once inserted, press the earphone into the ears for about 30 seconds. During that time, the marshmallow will expand and fill the ears resulting in a tight fit so that the earphones don't fall out. The tight fit will also result in better sound quality and noise isolation.

TopNice little headphones
Strengths: small size, nice sound

A lot of the negative comments should be taken with a grain of salt. This is designed to be inserted as far as possible into the ear for best performance. Yes, you will get that thump if you bump the wire, but you should have known that simply by the type of headphone you're buying.
Like other headphones, they also require a break in period. These sounded good to me out of the box. A little on the bassy side, but not as much as my koss c75. It was hard to tell the difference between the two (the koss being slightly more crisp when playing jazz.) Surprisingly big sound from small phones.
After awhile, you hardly notice they are on. others will hardly hear any noise and the buds almost disappear when worn, since they are so small.
Be careful if you drop your music device. instead of them coming out of your ears, you get a nasty pull and the headphone jack will come out and you will cry because your new toy hits the ground. the headphones will be ok though.

I'm glad I bought one at the low price, it can not get better for that price. I wear it at work everyday and is very good reducing ambient noise. They are not good for running. Took me one week to get use the marshmallows, after that is fantastic.

I got these phones for my Ipod nano, cause I need a pair of in-ear headphone while commuting on the subway. I am not going to spend couple hundred dollars on those Shure, no matter how good they sound. I just need something cheap, but has good build qualit and acceptable sound quality. At this price point, it's hard to find anything better than these. These JVC headphone produces clear sound, while blocking most of the noise. And they are comfortable to wear. I will recommend it.

Weakness: Putting the headphone into ear can be a hassle, but when done well the headphone will stay in place for extended periods of times.
I absolutely love these headphones. For the price, they usually go for around ~ $15, they are excellent. The highs and lows are excellent. The big thing about these headphones is that they must be put in the ear properly (which is not that hard) to get the best sound. They are like ear plugs that you pinch between your fingers and insert into the ear canal and the ear buds expand to fit the contour of your ear. This creates for a comfortable fit and isolates sound very well. It took me about a week to get used to them, but they are comfortable and sound absolutely great (yes that includes the highs and the lows).

Strengths: Price, pretty good noise cancellation, comfortable pads, long cord.
Weakness: A little bass heavy, and you have to squish the marshmallows quite a bit before inserting into your ears.
I'm not an audiophile, just needed a decent pair of headphones that canceled outside noise. I wasn't ready to spend $100 and up on the Shures/Etymotic, etc., since these are more kind of throw around use. For the price (under $10.00), they seem to be a great bargain! They do a nice job of blocking the outside noise, and the clarity, etc. is decent, possibly a tiny bit bass-heavy. Overall, I would recommend these if you can catch them at the right price!

TopSuper low-cost ear-buds
Strengths: Nice sound quality, Good Price
Weakness: Uncomfortable and Too Big
I wear it at work everyday and other times I tend to be pretty hard on them. With such a low price on these compared to a number of others, I was a little apprehensive about the quality, but not only can I hear music more clearly than the manufacturer's supplied ear-buds for my current MP3 player, these are soft and help reduce ambient noise. They may not satisfy everyone, but they have turned out to be the best I've ever had. I'm glad I bought one at the low price.

I have been really enjoying these headphones. The reason I purchased the Marshmallow's in the first place was to help isolate the ambient noise during my train commute. They've since become my favorite headphones. They do an great job of isolating noise for any price range. Right out of the box they deliver very deep bass but the highs aren't as crisp as I would like them to be. I very highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of in-ear headphones, a.k.a IEMs, with above-average noise isolation. I would rate these an 4/5

length of cord is equidistant to each earbud.
it helps to rub the foam pieces a bit to build up some heat, that way they stay compressed long enough for you to put them in your ear

I've heard better sounding budget headphones, but these are alright for the incredible deal I got on them.
I've tried pushing them in to various lengths, and they just aren't too comfortable. They aren't uncomfortable and I have no problem wearing them for extended periods of time, but it's still a relief to take them off and I wish the felt a bit nicer on my ears--but this is definitely up to the individual and their ear as to how this feels on them, some find these feel pretty good.
Music quality is decent for the price. Far better than the headphones that I've had come with most players, or those old, battered over-the-ear headphones you've kept from your cassette player.

Strengths: 1) Blocks outside noise. You can now just focus on your music. 2) Lightweight 3) Fits in my ear without falling off.
Weakness: 1) Sound not as crisp
These earphones are great for the price. They come in different colors as well. It helps me block the noise from outside. It fits my ear well, unlike the regular ipod earphones that fall out of my ear.

Strengths: Compact, comfy padded foam earpieces, cheap (price). The color of the ear plugs is not too flashy.
Weakness: Foam may not be as durable as silicone and the wire gets easily tangled.
In addition to the pros and cons of JVC HAFX33, these headphones/ear buds offer bang for the buck and appropriate for listening to music while working out. They remain in your ear even while running. This is my second pair (I lost my first pair).

Saw one for 9.99 and went for it. Never regret at this price. I think this might be the best earphone at this price range (below 10 dollars). Definitely beat my earphone come with the m:robe100. You never know what you miss until you hear the difference.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of these headphones. They work great. I bought them just in time for a short road trip with my buddy. I highly recommend them! Now you will not have white ipod earphones like everyone else.

Decent headphones at a good price
Strengths: Pretty good noise isolation. Good amount of bass and good clarity. Inexpensive
Weakness: Some may think it is too bass heavy. Earphone foam pads may not fit some ears.
The JVC "Marshmallow" headphones offer a decent amount of bass and clarity at a cheap price. When these go on sale, they can be had for about $10.
The foam pads on these earphones are made of soft memory foam and can be "squished" into the ear for maximum noise isolation. It is not total noise isolation, but enough to block out moderate noise levels so you can experience the music fully. The sound output is bassy. Some may think that the high's become muddled because of the bass. I've read that after some "burn-in" time, the clarity will improve.
You can mod these by removing the paper filter in the inner tube and filling it w/ ear pad foam to improve the high's. I did this, and the sound clarity improved nicely.
I'm no audiophile, but I can tell these earphones are better than my stock headphones that came with my Meizu. While I probably would not pay full price for them, they are a good deal if you can get them on sale. I recommend it.
