Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Crucial brand--highly reliable

Weakness: None for intended use

Very satisfied with Crucial memory--always reliable. Used one stick for my son's home build P4 LGA775 530 proc with 915GAVL mobo and absolutely no issues booting and recognizing memory--working flawlessly. (Two sticks needed for dual channel, but cost was an issue for him.) Will not be overclocking with the Intel board, but have read other reviews with only small increased performance though otherwise no problem.

You may find house memory for a few dollars less--but you get what you pay for--stick with Crucial, Kingston, or Corsair.

UPDATE 9-6-04
Liked this memory so much I purchased two more sticks (on sale from Newegg!) for my own system build- again working flawlessly.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Lifetime warranty, compatibility, quality product.

Weakness: Price

Crucial's 512MB PC3200 DDR DIMM memory is a high quality product. It performs well and is very reliable, plus Crucial has a lifetime warranty to back it up. If your computer is locking up, then you probably don't have Crucial memory.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Reliability and Performance

Weakness: N-O-N-E

I have been using Kingston ram almost all my life until now. After reading numerous reviews, I thought I should try out this Crucial stick and see if it is all hyped up to be. The result exceeded my expectations. Immediate I see the difference once I turned on my system with this memory install. Performs better than all the other sticks that I've used in the past. No problems with it at all after a week. Now I see why Crucial is so crucial!!! There's one regret- should have purchased two instead of one stick. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Extremely Stable

Weakness: Not able to overclock much.

This memory is some of the best around. Typically, when I order memory and want good reliability, I order crucial memory. I was slightly disappointed that I could not overclock this memory as much as I wanted but I found that the memory is fast and reliable. It is extremely stable and was worth the money spent.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: good specs, good price, it works

Weakness: none

As long as RAM works, I'm not sure how to review it, but this seems like a high quality product at a low price. It's an OEM package, but I knew that. I'm hope the rebate works out with no real UPC. I just xeroxed the stick itself.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Unparalleled compatability.

Weakness: CL3

If you intend on aggressively overclocking your subsystem, this is not the RAM for you.

However. . .

If you want the most STABLE and the most COMPATIBLE memory with the best speed at default timings and voltage, then this is the RAM for you. That goes double if you are building or using an Athlon 64 based system!

Crucial IS the industry standard.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Product is great installed standard, and works very well in overclocking systems with minimal heat.

Weakness: Product is not well marked. Althoguh pleanty of stickerspace, nothing says simply 512MB PC3200 DDR

This RAM is spectacular. Not only is it compatible with my system, but makes no noise (as some cheaper RAM can) and little heat even when overclocked. Crucial's web site offers a great compatibility guide and will give you the exact model number you need. Then go to price grabber and search away!

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Very fast

Weakness: would not recommend for overclockers

This Ram is soooo cheap I can't believe it. The people who tell you to go with Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX or just stupid. The amount of money to go from 512 MB Crucial to 512MB Corsair you could buy another stick of Crucial. So 1024MB Crucial = 512MB Corsair. It really doesnt matter how little you can overclock it, because there is no way to overclock Corsair from 512 to 1024 speeds.

Great ram, great price.

great price for a great product - what more can I...

Strengths: price

Weakness: for what it costs, it has no weaknesses

I've check other web sites and this one had the best deal. I've bought here before and will do so again in the future. As for the technicals for this chip, I don't know but it works great in my desktop computer.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Fast shipment, lifetime guarantee, good CS, great price

Weakness: None that I can think of - they work!

I ordered directly from Crucial and received them two days later using the standard shipping (that's shipping from Idaho to California). They were well packaged, easy to install (though required a bit of force to push into my G5's RAM slots), and they work! Obviously, you'd want to go for something pricier if you're going to overclock your memory, but for what I needed, this was a great deal. And the lifetime guarantee give me peace of mind.

Ram review

Strengths: the 512 mb and the speed

Weakness: None

This memory chip is very stable and fast. Plus the 512 mb upgrades my computer to 1 gig of ram. Even while I was running something like seven apps at the same time, my ram usage at its max was only 84%. I recommend anyone who desires a speed boost to purchase this ram and do the upgrade.

GREAT MEMORY--GOOD VALUE

Strengths: FAST! Installed with no issues and has run great with no problems.

Weakness: Had to pay for it-(lol)

I cant say anything negative about this memory- its fast and seems to perform with no operational issues- which is good news for a novice like myself doing a first time computer build. I installed 2-512'S = 1GIG, and plan to get two more for 2gig's - Also have a crucial memory upgrade in an old HP machine thats still running good after four years. Based on past and present experience would highly recommend this memory. Im sure theres better memory out there for more money, but have to consider this an excellent value and will buy again in the future when I need memory.

2nd time crucial buyer

Strengths: Works as flawlessly this time around as my previous crucial purchase 4 yrs ago. Price is good also.

Weakness: None so far. No negative issues to report as of yet--

I used crucial to upgrade over four years ago in an old HP pavillion--that was an older style memory, worked perfectly then and is still running perfectly now---- I used two of these in a recent first time computer build to get 1G ram on an Intel D865PERL M.B. W/P-4 3.0 HT processor and everything runs great. Based on past and present experience, I would certainly buy again.

Crucial DDR400 512 memory

Strengths: Good price, and FAST!

Weakness: none- so far

Got two of these for use in my first ever ground up computer build--(1G total) - Have only had it in operation for a couple weeks, but so far it has performed very well. The price was right, and seems really fast-- the only thing that remains to be judged is reliability. There are some negative reviews on other sites, but so far this memory works great and would buy again if no future problems arise.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Reliable and fast, works the first time!

Weakness: None so far.

I am using Crucial RAM on the recommendation of many of my friends. I decided on this RAM because I didn't need to seriously overclock it as some people like to do and I wanted to make sure that I was getting something extremely reliable. Turns out it was a great choice. I haven't had a single problem since I got it. I've been burned in the past by buying cheap memory, but this RAM was not much more expensive than the generic stuff and it outperforms it tremendously!! Highly recommended.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Works perfectly, easy to install and lifetime warranty.

Weakness: None!

even in my finicky G5 Dual 1.8 GHz! Passed the extended Apple Hardware Test with flying colors. If you're looking for reliable RAM that'll work in just about any system that supports DDR400, this is it! Very few manufacturers can pass the extended hardware test, so that's why I went with Crucial and it runs just great without a hitch. I went from 256 MB to 1.25 GB and mannnnnn it's great!

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: large amount of memory, good reputation

Weakness: none

I bought this memory on the recommendation of a friend who suggested Crucial as a good brand of memory, having a reputation for performance and compatibility without being really expensive. It was an easy upgrade, too.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: reliable; fast

Weakness: none determined

I wanted to upgrade the memory in my computer. Increasing the amount of memory is often an effective way to increase performance. I bought Crucial, in particular, because it has a reputation for quality at a reasonable price, and I wanted to minimize the chances of compatibility problems. I bought PC3200 DDR because it's the fastest memory my computer will support, and there isn't much of a price premium for it.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Fast

I bought 2 of these sticks for my new system from zipzoomfly. The new system has config of AMD athlon 3500+ processor, 1 gb RAM (this RAM), ATI Radeon X800 XT, ASUS A8v Deluxe motherboard and Western Digital 10000 RPM hdd. I can't comment much about how the 2 sticks perform in comparison to other RAM but my system runs real faaaaaaaaaaaast now!!!!

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Compatibility and lifetime warranty.

Weakness: None.

It worked on the first install! The last time that I purchased "compatible" memory, it wasn't really compatible, so I had to send it back and wait for them to send me the correct type. This time iw was a much more pleasant experience.

Crucial 512 MB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Crucial has a reliable name, and reliability is the name of the game with memory. I put these on a SOYO SY-P4I865PE PLUS MOBO and didn't have one problem. Running it with a P4 3.2 Prescott CPU.

Weakness: NONE, you get what you pay for

I can't say enough about the reliability I continue to get from Crucial. Shop around and you'll see that it's the best for your $$$. Zero compatibility issues.
