Excellent memory with good timing

Strengths: Excellent heat spreader / good timing

Weakness: None so far

This memory is quality product. The heat spreader is nicely designed with added fins on top. The air from CPU fan helps to cool down both memories. With typical heat spreader design, one of the memory is blocked. Thanks to fins on top, now they both can be cooled down by the air from the CPU fan. The timing was as specified by the manufacturer. I think this memory is the best choice for the the money, with current rebate, considering it's performance.

Excellent Memory with good heat spreader

I have been using this for two months with AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ and GAMA69GMS2H Motherboard and no issues so far. This is very high quality, stable and reliable ram.

Memory takes the heat

Strengths: big heatsinks, fast memory, good timings

Weakness: big heatsinks, high voltage to achieve timings

These memory sticks work very well when overclocking. Voltage has to be set at 2.1v to get published timings of 4-4-4-12 (you can probably get by with 1.9v, run MEMTest).
The heatsinks are big, which is probably why the memory keeps cool. Also, these heatsinks are not flimsy slip on metal, they feel sturdy and can take a beating (fins won't bend easily if pushed). I also mention the size of the heatsinks as a weakness, if you have a smaller case. For me it was not a problem during installation.

Dependability in a stick.

Strengths: Heatspreaders. Timings 4-4-4-12 @ 1.8v. Build quality. Warranty.

Corsair have been in the memory business for a long time, and don't disappoint with the DHX series. CAS 4 with 1.8v bootable makes these sticks compatible with lots of motherboards, although you should always check before buying memory. Have had these installed now for almost 3 months with no issues whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Great memory with Awesome price

After 3 months use, it still works great with my AMD4200+ and Foxcon nForce 570 motherboard. They are high quality, well-built. The heat spreader works well, too. Great memory with cheap price.

Fast and Cool

Strengths: Great heatspreaders. Fast timing(at the 4-4-4-12). Bootable at 1.8V.

Weakness: A little pricy.

Works great at both of my Foxconn intel G33 and Foxconn nForce 570 motherboard. Operational voltage is 2.1V from specification but still bootable when use 1.8V (at slower timing though). The heatspreaders are cool and work well. Recommended for those Overclockers. For general users, you can purchase other brands or models for lower price without the fancy heatspreaders.

Fast and cool memory

Strengths: This memory is fast and cool. It has big and efficient heat sink provides solving heat related reliability problems

Worked perfectly the first time through on a new installation, all my programs and games load up super quick. Cheap price too considering the beefy heat spreaders and the brand name

Got a pair of these from a cpu/ram combo deal. They are high quality, well-built. The heat spreader did its job. Compared to the $3-after-rebate no-name rams I got later, XMS2 is fantastic. I did a partial memory test(didn't have time to finish), and no error was found. I put them in Vista Business, the rating on memory is 5.9, which I think is pretty good. Worth having one, just wait for the promotion and get it at relatively cheaper price.

This is very good memory and very affordable. Shop around before you purchase there seems to be deals all the time on memory. The heat sinks are nice to keep the memory running cool. I have had an excellent experience with this high performing memory.

Fast and stable, this Ram works wonderfully for my newly built computer. I would strongly recommend this ram to those who are looking for the combination of speed and price. Worth each penny of it. In fact, I am getting another pair for my computer, hopefully, it will work flawlessly as the first pair. Will update more review later.

XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 DIMM Memory

Strengths: Very stable, 4-4-4-12 timing, DDR2.

Weakness: Requires EPP settings in the BIOS if you plan on using it on an Intel board.

This memory has low latency and fast timing. Comes with a heat spreader built in and runs at 2.1 volts. Corsair makes solid products and this one is no exception. Nowadays, 1GB sticks are becoming the standard, but with the introduction of 64 bit processing, it will soon be replaced by 2GB sticks. Anyway, this memory is decent for overclocking and is really reliable. Intel boards do require some additional bios setup, but this really isn't a big deal. Oh, and one additional thought. The heat spreaders make these sticks a bit on the large side. Keep this in mind if you have space constraints. Otherwise, you can't go wrong purchasing this product.

Excellent Memory

This is one of the fastest memory, comparable to the Crucial Ballistix D9 memory. I had no problem oced it to 1100MHz. The memory runs very cool due to the excellent heat spreaders. I highly recommend them.

Very Good Memory

Strengths: Quality memory with trustable brand

When it comes to memory, I always trust the company with good reputation. Problems with memory are hard to diagnose. I do not have any issue with this memroy from Corsair. It worked right away after I put it into the system. The heatsink on the memory does make you feel the the good construction and quality, and they work well too. Perfect for overlocking. With this 2GB Vista is running very smooth even when I open a lot of applications. Good buy.

XMS 2GB PC2-6400 Review

Strengths: Super Fast Memory, Runs Cool

Weakness: None at the moment

Got this memory, easy installation in my new Gigabyte motherboard. The memory is amazingly fast. It runs super cool with the heat spreader. I tried over clock with the bios and no problems so far. Highly recommended, just as good as the crucial memory.

Corsair XMS2 2GB Kit

Strengths: Corsair quality and reputation, sold heat sink

Weakness: Heat sink might be too big for small HTPC

Corsair always makes the best RAMs. I am not a hardcore overclocker but I bought these in case I need to put the performance of my system to the edge. The heat sinks are very solid made, and it does help to cool the RAMs. However, since I am planning to use them in a shuttle XPC, the oversized heat sinks almost gave me a big trouble. Probably they are the best match for big towers.

Good RAM for upgrading or new build

Strengths: Good price, quality memory

Weakness: Heat spreaders are relatively large. Height may affect compatibility with some machines

The RAM is standard PC2-6400, these are 1 gig sticks. The heat spreaders would help with any overclocking or heat related issues. BUT depending on your machine configuration, you may have issues with clearance if you have something that will be above the RAM slots. I can't get it installed on my HP machine due to the media bays that are right over the RAM slots.I'm currently using this in a new build with AMD X2 4000+ with plenty of space so the heat spreaders aren't an issue right now.

One of the best brands out there. Works great, great price too. Love the heat spreaders, looks ultra cool and does the job. Fast specs and good warranty. Even sweeter that it came in retail package.

Fast Ram

This is high quality desktop ram. I bought this pair to add into my desktop computer with existing 2x1GB rams. Currently with 4GB ram altogether, my computer runs smooth and stable. Highly recommend!

Windows Vista was lagging alot. That was until I installed these memory modules. Now vista runs alot smoother. Heatsinks look cool and more importantly keep the memory cool! I haven't been able to overclock the memory yet but I heard these memory sticks overclock well.

Installed theses in a Dell Inspiron 531. Worked great and looks great. With the memory hungry Vista operating system, no amount of memory will be enough. The system came with 1 GB. 3 GB feels about right with my setup.

Excellent memory for AMD overclocking

Strengths: Price, heat spreader

Weakness: Sometimes picky with some motherboards

This memory is working great with an overclocked AMD 4000+. Memtest passes with flying colors and the heatsinks are absolutley huge! Make sure that the heatsinks will fit on your motherboard (especially with aftermarket CPU coolers). Also, this memory may not work w/ all motherboards. Our dell would just beep, but I added 2 additional sticks and these clocked down and the dell booted.

I was amazed to see how large the aluminum heat sink is on these guys. The thoughtful design and low CAS latency make it a wonderful RAM for overclocking purposes.

I bought this for a new desktop I built. Installation is a breeze. It has been working pretty well since then. Stable, fast, and reliable. I got it for a pretty good price and has no complain what's so ever.

Great RAM at a Fair Price

Strengths: Highly over-clockable. Runs nice and cool. Good build quality.

This RAM is very fast, very stable, and does not generate much heat. Corsair has always been a top notch company producing high quality RAM and this product is no exception. I just purchased a second pair of modules to bring my RAM up to 4GB and I couldn't be more pleased with this RAM. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants solid, high performance RAM.

Awsome speed!! no problems and it works with any compatible mobo combination. Works great for overclocking and amd chip. Had a regular memory before and this beats it by the mile. The warranty is second to none.
