I purchased a full stereo system from DCCA in May. I was pleased how fast they delivered, and had originally ordered from them to receive their 3 year warranty, that no other competitor offers. That is what attracted me to this company, and since they have been around for over 20 years as a corporation, I knew they had to keep their word. 2 weeks ago, my amplifier I bought went into protection mode. I emailed them, received an Return Authorization the same day. 2 weeks later, I just received a brand new, working replacement. I would definitely use their services again. Thanks DCCA. My experience? They take your money, don't ship the product. Call to find out what's going on and they'll throw a line of BS at you to buy more time. Another day or two will go by, no change on the tracking # status. Call to ask and get more lies. Most of the lies are really bad and can be seen through right away. For those of you who are smart enough to research a company before buying from them, trust me and all of the other bad reviews - we're not exaggerating any of this. How can I say this any better.....WORST COMPANY EVER. Do not buy from this place which is probably being run from this individuals basement. I bought an Alpine overhead DVD player and its been 3 months and still haven't received it. They say its not in stock and the manufacturer is having problems but just read the other reviews? Everyone is having the same problem so you know its them. They have cheap prices but the problem is they don't have the items they claim to be selling. Don't waste time with the hassle and headaches this company will give you. Buy retail from somewhere else. Its way better. Overall Rating

DO NOT ORDER ANY EQUIPMENT FROM THIS COMPANY! They will give you a big runaround when your equipment doesn't show up on-time. I also was told by dealercostaudio that my equipment was on back order. BS! I don't know why they are in business if they never plan to send out ordered equipment. When I called them I was left on hold for over 30 minutes 4 separate times. After I was sick of waiting for my equipment for more than 3 weeks I cancelled my order altogether b/c I was tired of getting the runaround. If I don't get my refund back within 7 business days I'm going to be giving the Better Business Bureau a call and file a grievance report. I WILL NEVER ORDER EQUIPMENT FROM THIS LAME COMPANY AGAIN and I hope you don't either! Overall Rating

Overall, my experiences with Dealer Cost Car Audio have far surpassed by expectations. Firstly, I called first to make sure the part I wanted was in stock (the item was backordered from their competitor, and I had to wait an extraordinary amount of time to even get the order cancelled), and sure enough, it was in stock. I placed the order, and proceeded to wait. Within 3 days, I was emailed a tracking number. I thought it was a little long, but hey, if I am this picky, 2 days extra isn't too much time! (a lot faster than the 2 month wait from their competitor). Within a week of the tracking #, my brand new speaker set arrived at my door. I was extremely happy, and will love to recommend this gem to anybody out there. Please, shop one, shop all! You will not be disappointed. Stay far away from these guys. Total scam artists. My son ordered an amp and sub woofers from them on 7/22/09. After several emails my son finally received the amp on 8/18, but never received the sub woofers. It is now 10/6, and he still has not received a refund after email after email. All kinds of promises, no delivery. Usual wait time on the phone is 1/2 hour, then you just get more promises that are unfulfilled. Real bunch of wise guys too. Stay away. Overall Rating

I ordered a brand new Boston Pro60se speaker set. Within 24 hours, I received a tracking number. Following that, I received my item within 3 days. I tried to order through one of their competitors, and am happy I chose Dealer Cost Car Audio. I do see many other reviews that were not so good, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, got a brand new speaker set, with a 3 year warranty (who else gives a full 3 year warranty on car audio on the web?). This company lies and continues to lie. I got back the used speakers and there is no cover on the back that peels off ? They are all scarcthed up as I said and are used. I lost over 500.00 and 3 months waiting on them to make good. I will be all over the internet about them. At this point they should change there name. This is by far the worst merchant to deal with,they have no idea what customer service is about. I ordered boston accoustics 10 inch sub, was told after a week of waiting after i tried calling tons of times if you ever get connected its a miracle that my order was on back order. Called 2 weeks later its shipping this week I was told. Well its a month now and still havent recieved it, cancelled my order now can only hope my card is credited back sometime soon. These guys definitelly need reported to better business bureau. Its funny no matter what is ordered as said in everyones reviews its always on back order,but yet they claim almost everything is shipped within 24 to 48hrs.Its funny how all these reviewers have the same problem but yet we are not ordering the same things. Made to wait until I asked for refund. Was offered an upgrade (AVIC 920) that was in stock and I replied yes, but did not hear from them again. Asked again for full refund ($710.00) and was told twice that it had been credited. It still has not been credited to my account. All this over the last two months. Am still waiting for my money. UPDATE 10/10/09 - after several emails they sent me the upgraded unit and at the same price as the older one. Customer service and communications were excellent with DCCA after this review was published. They really went out of their way to make good on this transaction and I commend them for that. I purchased 2 subs and an amp from these clowns. Made sure they were instock beforehand which they told me yes. Weeks went by with no merchadise which led to MONTHS! No response from them until finally i asked for a simple refund and they give me the response about they can not refund me until the order is cancelled. I got this response for a few weeks and decided i had no choice but to contact my credit card company for a refund. I finally received a refund and purchased elsewhere (sonic electronix.) About 3 weeks later i get another charge on my credit card from Dealer Cost!! They charged my card again without authorization!! Now i had to wait another month before getting my money back again and this was over $1200 in parts. Had to change my credit card # so they won't do this again and i did contact the BBB as well as a lawyer to possibly press fraud charges. STAY FAR AWAY from them. Stick with Sonic Electronix. Spend thousands with them and A+ service all the time!! Overall Rating

DCCA did very good on communication. I was VERY worried that I had been taken advantage of BUT not because of anything they did, but because of what I had read on the internet. I didn't find the reviews until after I had placed the order. I became very worried that I had made a BIG mistake ordering from them If I had not read the bad reviews my only complaint would have been the delayed shipping. In all fairness it was explained as a mfg created delay and since I did receive the order about the time DCCA estimated it, I believe them. I will do business with them again. AND…I do not work or am in any way associated with DCCA or anyone else in or remotely associated with this type of business. I just felt with all the bad press these guys are getting I needed to tell my story. Overall Rating

This website is an absolute joke. Whoever is running this company has no idea how to, and has the worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered a single subwoofer September 14, and today is the 25th without any tracking number or shipping information. Everytime I attempted to question them about it they gave me a run around by saying the tracking number should be available shortly. That is complete horse-crap because any shipping company provides a tracking number as soon as they receive the product. I purchased an amp the same day from bestbuy.com for $10 more and it arrived within a week .Every customer writing a negative review is entirely correct. Stay away from this website. Its worth the extra time and money to find a realiable merchant with a better reputation. I will not ever recommend this website and I will not ever try business with them again. They agreed to give me an upgraded shipping option based on the time that has gone by, but that doesn't matter if no shipment happens! Some of the additions I've order for the unit have come from over the border and I've already got those parts. This vendor should be removed from PriceGrabber in my opinion. Currently trying to get my money back. It's been almost three weeks since I got the cancellation notice from this vendor. Still no refund in my account. Just more run-around. :( Overall Rating

As with all the other comments, the radio I ordered was a good deal, cost wise. It took three weeks to receive the radio when they said it would take 4 days and I needed it as a gift. Their tracking information was insufficient and then when I emailed that I would be returning it because it took so long to receive it, 2 months later they are still failing to send me a return address, which I cannot understand why. I would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience buying online EVER!

I ordered a sub and an amp from them for $410 on 8/10 then just like all of the other reviews that I have now read I went round and round trying to get my order shipped and finally cancelled it on 8/26. Its now 9/13 and I still have not received my refund. When I talk to Dealer cost car audio (by email because its way to hard to try and get them on the phone) they say they have sent the refund back to me. I have not received anything from them other than a hard time. Now i have had to file a dispute with my credit card company. So who knows how long it will take to get my money back if i get it back. Dealer cost car audio has great prices but I guess you can sell cheap when you don't really send anything to the customer!
Retailer Response (09/24/2009): The buyer had an item in his order that was on an unexpected backorder. When asked, the customer received a cancellation confirmation. We were also emailed on 09/16/2009 that everything went through, and our client was happy.

Prices are very good (if the item is in stock) if not they do not tell you (call or email). I had to email them concerning the status of my order, they gave me the run around for 2 weeks and finally told me one of the items I ordered was backordered. If you call them you get put in que zone for ever. The recording says to email them for quicker service. I emailed them with alternate items from their web page, but none where in stock. Their web page does not show current stock. Prices are good if they have the item. If you have time for the run around shop here if not go elsewhere.

Sometimes a backorder will occur, as in this case, and it is up to the buyer to wait for the order to ship, or to cancel the order. Unfortunately, due to the economy, many manufacturers have cut down on production, thus increasing backorders.

Start 1-26 end 9-3 First, they sold an out-of-stock item in which nothing was said until I emailed them to find out where my order was. It took several days when I got fed up and told them to exchange the out-of-stock item for something else. Then it took several more days to ship my order. It took me about 3 months to get time to install the radio which I found was defective. Their return policy states (always read first) that I had to pay for shipping in order to return my DEFECTIVE stereo?! Then many emails and weeks later I found out they knew nothing about the status of my return or if it even existed! (They ask me if I am waiting for a new stereo.) Since their return policy ALSO states there are no refunds, I am issued a gift certificate which I order another type of stereo since the original one I purchased is an out-of-stock item (where have I heard that before?). It then took them 26 DAYS to ship my new stereo! Don't get me started about the comprehention of these people!
Retailer Response (09/27/2009): Our buyer purchased a stereo in January 2009. This unit purhased was a 2008 model. When our buyer sent it in for a replacement, the unit was discontinued, so he had two options, a repaired unit, or to upgrade to a 2009 model. After weeks of negotiating, the buyer opted to upgrade to the 2009 model. We of course gave him a large discount out of courtesy.

If you order from these guys you will receive an e-mail stating, "If you do not receive a shipped email and tracking number within 7 business days of your purchase, please feel free to reply to this order confirmation...". I waited 7 business days to find out that the item I ordered was on back order. Good customer service dictates that you let the customer know right away, that the item they ordered, is back ordered. At that point it is the customers decision to either wait for the item or cancel the order.

I placed an order on the 12th, they lied and said it would come on monday, then it didnt they blamed it on a alpine "ship per order purchase" which i caught them when they said a week after taht they that item comes in in the 100s. They gave me a total of 8 different days over a period of a month when they promised they would ship it with no problems and they kept lieing to me. I honestly think that any good review they get is one of Roberts friends. They dont have any merchandise at all. I disputed the transaction and got my money back thank god.

Right after we shipped the order, he contacted his credit card company to file a dispute, with the sole intention he was to receive his merchandise free of charge. Luckily, we were able to reverse the shipment back instantly, without a loss due to this fraud. He used negative reviews such as this one as a way to \\\"black mail\\\" us into allowing him to receive his shipment free of charge. Sorry, not with us!
