The product never arrived! Ordered in July. It's available all over the internet, at a higher price. They continued to advertise like it's in stock, so you can order, but a week later they send an email saying it's on backorder. NEVER delivered or came in stock in 7 months. But they're still willing to sell it like it's in stock. Complete rip off. Take your money, but don't deliver. |

I called to check stock on a JVC DLP bulb, which I was told was in stock for delivery. I paid an additional $32 for overnight delivery, to have my TV for a Christmas party. Late afternoon, the next day, I still did not have the bulb. I checked online and my order had changed from "processed" to "pending." I called and got the same rep that checked stock for me. He told me the bulb "was not immediately available" and they woudl get it within 2 weeks and send it right out. He laughed through the whole phone call, apparently finding it funny that I expected the bulb the "next day" after I ordered it, not the next day after they receive it. I canceled the order through another rep, and received a confirmation email as such. I reorderd the bulb from another company and received it in 3 days. When I checked my credit card Advanced Lamps actually charged me ($86) the day I canceled the order. I am still waiting for my refund from them, and had to dispute the charge with my card company |

I wished I would have looked for reviews before buying a replacement lamp from these guys. When I ordered it they processed the order and told me it would ship out next day. Now I am on back order waiting 3 weeks. Should have paid the extra few bucks and got it from Best Buy. |

Ordered 12/9. Charged my CC the next day. 4 days later I was notified the order didn't ship, item was backordered, and they couldn't say when it would ship. I cancelled the order that day. On 12/15 I received another message acknowledging the cancellation and promising to credit the refund to my credit card. They did not. It is Jan 4. 2012 at present. Now they don't return calls or emails and I am disuputing the charge with my bank. These guys are the worst. Run - don't walk - away as fast as you can. |

I really wish I saw this site before placing an order with them. This order has been nothing but trouble. I placed the order on 2011-11-20, called back 10 days after it was placed and they said the person before me bought the last item. They said the item would be back in stock next week. Waited 10 more days, contacted them again(on 2011-12-10). This time they guaranteed me that it would be back in stock next week and be shipped by Friday(the 16th) and they would upgrade my shipping one level to make sure I get it faster. I call them on Christmas eve, speak to the same person I spoke to on the 10th, he says that the people that place their order before me got all of the stock that came in(which I was told no one was before me previously). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! EVER! |

The lamp I ordered from Advanced Lamps was damaged upon delivery. Advanced Lamp tried to blame UPS even though their packing was terrible. They had shipped the original six-sided lamp box with foam insulation only on one side of the lamp box, so the other five sides were unprotected. I was told to send them pictures of the damaged lamp (which I did) and ‘management’ would get back to me with corrective action (which they haven’t). To make matters worse, I was led to believe this matter would be resolved quickly and was told to just order another lamp from the website with a refund coming soon after. After I ordered the second lamp, I received a message two days later stating the lamp was not in stock and is on backorder. Even though the lamp was on backorder, Advanced Lamps STILL charged my credit card for the cost of the lamp they could not ship. I have now paid for two lamps from Advanced Lamps, yet, I still do not having a functioning lamp for my projector. |

Buyer beware! November 26 I ordered a lamp for my projector. Called after 10 days to check on order. They told me they could let me know the STATUS of my order in the next 48 hours. So I immediately cancelled the order. The next day they called me back and said they had NOT cancelled the order like I had asked and that it would ship that day. A week after THAT, I called and they told me it would ship today. I cancelled the order for the 2nd time. They charged my card over $900 on November 26. Today is December 16 and they still have my money and they never sent my order. I would NEVER consider buying from Advanced Lamps again! |

Ordered lamps in July for our office projectors, but after 3 weeks, I called and was told that the lamps were on back order. Since we had already received the old lamps refurbished, I cancelled the order. A few months later, accounting informs me that I never received credit on the company card for the cancelled order. Every phone call to customer service was quickly met with a promise to have the refund in 24-48 hours, but it never came. Emails were ignored. I'm on my fifth phone call. About to dispute the charge with our credit card provider and contact the BBB. AVOID THIS COMPANY! |

It took 6 weeks to receive my order even though I had been billed for the item. I sent customer service a note when I had not received order several weeks after being billed only to find out it was on back order. I had never been informed it was on back order. Two weeks later I sent Cecil Givens another note explaining that I still had not received order and I did not want to be charged for overnight delivery. I did not get a reply from Cecil Givens. I sent another note 2 weeks later to Cecil Givens saying I still did not get a reply from him. I went to the website 2 weeks later and sent a note to customer service asking to speak to to a manager and to cancel my order and credit my credit, I have yet to receive a response. I received an e-mail yesterday that my order was being shipped. Extremely bad service and customer service. |

Buyer beware. This company was the worst on-line company I've ever dealt with in my life. I ordered a product, credit card charged, backordered, no luck with customer service. They have no cusomter service...only a voice mail system that no one listens to the messages. You've read the reviews. They're all the same. I suspect the positive reviews are fake. I received my refund almost a month after the fact but that was after I had to contact Amex along with the BBB to get this done. |

Not a legit company, but a SCAM!! They took my money and prompty told me that my item was backordered. After 6 weeks of waiting with no ETA on delivery, I cancelled my order. After 5 more weeks, I still haven't received my refund. Those tech support agents are slick with their "refund by end of business day" promises. Holy cow! Worst online shopping experience ever!! These guys need to be shut down, if not downright prosecuted. Believe me...check out the BBB score on them. One final thing, don't believe those positive reviews you read. They are paid for. They are the result of online reputation subscriptions that Advanced Lamps would rather spend your money on than delivering product, or refunding said money. **** DANGER - SCAM ***** |

This was a terrible online shopping experience. I ordered the lamp and the next day was notified that the item was on backorder. That information couldn't have been provided before I ordered? Next, I waited three weeks, still no item so I called. Rep I spoke to had no idea when the item would be available. Waited five more days, no item, so I cancelled the order. Was told that the refund would be in my account in 3-5 days. After 10 days and no refund, I called and was told the finance department was handling it. The rep told me he would personally make sure they had the paperwork, and I would have my refund in 24-48 hours. Four weeks later, I still have no refund. I had to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back. If you're thinking about ordering from this company, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! I'm willing to bet the five star reviews included on Pricegrabber are all totally bogus, and probably written by their employees to counter all the negative reviews found here. |

Absolutely horrific customer service. Returned a defective lamp per their instructions. FIVE WEEKS LATER I'm told the item has been on back order, despite status notations such as preparing to ship, etc. If it was possible to give them less than one star I would. Run away from this company at full speed! |

Will never use this company again. Ordered lamp 2nd day, received it eleven day later and they still charged me for 2nd day. Lamp blew, returned it under warranty which they confirmed. Two months later I still have no lamp and all I get are excuses. |

Immediately upon ordering a projector lamp for my TV on 5/31, I was told that the item in question was "backordered". This was nowhere evident on their website until the company had received payment from us. I cancelled this transaction on Monday, 6/6/2011, and was assured that the money would be refunded within 24 to 48 hours. 4 days later, Friday, 6/10/2011, and a further call to the company was completely unfruitful. The operator not only could not tell me whether my cancellation was processed, she said she didn't know if the "finance department" would even be in today. After I called on 6/6, I had recieved an update to my order status that said "cancelled" but after looking again at my order status on 6/10, it had once again been changed to "Pending". I finally got my money back on 6/20, but only after filing a BBB report, Internet crime (IC3) report and PayPal dispute. Buyer Beware! |

Internet shopping is becoming much easier to do nowadays. Unfortunately living in Puerto Rico, I usually run into some issues with shipping and verifying my address. Luckily I found Advanced Lamps while searching online. Their website was easy to navigate, I was even able to see how much my order would cost to PR before placing the order. There was no tax and no hidden fees. I paid exactly what I saw. I was also surprised to receive my package within just a couple of days. I didn't even need to call in for any questions. Advanced Lamps is one of the easiest and honest websiets I have come across. |
