Hitachi Saw
Strengths: nice blade, rigid stand, tight rip fence
Weakness: plastic casing, loose miter gauge
I got this saw so that I can rip boards and it works pretty good for that but I have to use more time to set it up for ripping wide boards because it is only made to rip up to 24" wide. A problem you might run into is the miter gauge has a lot of slop and it can move back and forth in its groove. Overall this saw is good for construction but not precise woodworking.
